Varying rotational speeds and unbalances cause vibrations that must be decoupled from the surroundings. CFM Air Springs type MAS or BZ are primarily used for this purpose. For engine test rigs, the seismic mass is usually carried out as a specially designed clamping plate or a concrete foundation.
