For the commissioning of complete armoured turrets, we develop and build complete systems consisting of highly stable armoured turret mounts, access to the turret supply technology, an energy gallows for operating the test rig, a control cabinet with PLC and control unit, safety fencing and signalling systems, a working platform and safety barriers, as well as vibration-isolated foundation blocks to support the optical walls.
The armoured turret mounts are designed to allow highly dynamic rotational movements of the turret and swivel movements of the weapon.
Armoured vehicle tilt test rigs are also used during the commissioning of armoured turrets. The entire armoured turret can be swivelled fully automatically into predefined positions. In general, these positions are -9°, 0°, 10°, 17° and even 31° is possible. This allows all driving situations that occur on slopes to be simulated.
In addition, we supply comprehensive system accessories perfectly matched to the test bench:
As part of its collaboration with IABG, CFM developed and supplied key components for a wheeled vehicle test rig for military vehicles.
CFM's scope of supply includes:
Seismic mass
The seismic mass measures 18,000 x 12,000 x 4,100 and has a total mass of 1,900 tonnes. It is designed as a concrete foundation with a T-slotted clamping plate as an interface to the test object. Linear guide systems for accommodating the vehicle lifting system are attached to the longitudinal axis of the vibration foundation.
Vibration isolation system
The vibration isolation system is equipped with 88 CFM-GRB 2480-1200 AV air springs and the EC303-HF electronic level control system. Together, they ensure precise automatic levelling and maintain a perfectly horizontal position under all load conditions.
Vehicle lifting system
The vehicle lifting system has been specially designed to lift vehicles weighing up to 60 tonnes. The vehicle lifting system is purely electric in order to achieve a high level of safety through self-locking and to ensure low-maintenance operation.
The system consists of 4 individual lifts that can be operated both individually and synchronously with high precision. The system has been independently tested and approved by TÜV as a vehicle lift.
